HK 416A5 style adjustable gas block.
Finally a good solution to the MR556A1/416 adjustable gas block issue. These gas blocks are designed similarly to the factory HK 416A5/A7 N-S gas block. Our gas blocks are designed to give shooters more options for tuning gas on their MR556A1 and 416 rifles. (Not a correct fit for the MR556A4)
These gas blocks will provide a “full open” side port gas vent mode for use with suppressors and a “closed mode” that utilizes a small vent gas screw, in the front. The front gas screw will come in various port sizes to tune your gas block for your application. ( Rifle, SBR, etc… )
The “416A5 Long Style” gas block is designed to work with standard MR556A1 and 416 barrels. You do not need a factory or after market “Exact A5 Spec” barrel to use it! This means the block itself is a bit longer than the “True A5″ gas block to cover the front cross pin notch. The block is held in place by the rear pin only, just like the factory HK 416A5. The indexing tab on the back of the block is cut for the MR556A1/416 width and should be a direct fit.
Not intended for use with barrels under 11”, due to interference between the adjustment knob/cap and muzzle device or suppressor. However it may work with the gas regulator cap “on” while un-suppressed and “removed entirely” when suppressed. ( a short knob/cap may be available in the future for 10.5″ barrels )
May require barrel/gas port modification. ( recommended gas port size for 11″ barrels is 1.6mm, minimum ) Gas port reaming and other services available.
