    This HK 416F ( 416A5 black ) custom “conversion/build” is assembled using a factory MR556A4 upper and a custom STS lower ( this is a complete firearm ). The rifle is accessorized, machined and re-marked to mimic the 416F, 416A5 as closely as possible. This is the black version of the 416 A5 and is built using a mixture of original HK parts and clone/aftermarket parts. This is considered a nearly all HK A5 or F “conversion” since we are starting with the factory upper and all factory internal components. This is a much more cost effective way of achieving a correct 416A5, without utilizing an expensive and hard to find MR223. This combination also provides the correct 90° selector positions, not possible when starting with the MR556A4. Since we are utilizing the factory A4 upper set, it will include the adjustable gas block as well! ( older MR556A1 images shown. New pictures of the A4s to come! )

    Configurations

    Although this barrel is shorter than 16" it can been extended using a permanently attached "faux suppressor" to maintain a 16" + overall length. Select the "faux suppressor trainer" and "rifle" options under Muzzle Device / Configuration for this option.

    SBR configurations will require a form 4 transfer with your dealer and a federal tax stamp approval process. ( No $200 fee )

    Pistol configurations will include an arm brace instead of a buttstock and will transfer as a normal pistol. ( Not recommended if you plan to register the gun as an SBR anyway. )

    This semi-automatic military style rifle is a civilian-legal firearm that can easily step into the match rifle world. The HK proprietary gas piston operating system replaces the typical gas ( direct impingement ) system found in AR15, M16, and M4 style firearms. A practically flawless weapon system, the H&K MR556A1 is a direct descendant of the HK416.

    A comfortable butt stock allows for recoil to be mitigated as much as possible, and a simple assembly allows the HK MR556A1 to be field stripped for cleaning in just a few minutes. This rifle can also be easily suppressed, and during match trials, it’s demonstrated quick target acquisition despite some models being on the heftier side.

    The HK416 Descendant -
    The HK MR556A1 is designated as the civilian version of the HK416. Delta Force ( and other special ops arround the world ) have elected to replace their M16/AR15 platform rifles with the HK416. With this impressive legacy to live up to, the HK MR556A1 does not disappoint.

    The HK MR556A1 can fire 5.56 NATO and .223 without issue, and offers a very smooth and accurate shooting experience. The short-stroke gas piston system is simple and performs reliably, unsuppressed or suppressed.
